Remember the original seven wonder of the world?
Temple of Artemis, Lighthouse of Alexandria, Mausoleum at Halicarnassus, The Great Pyramids of Giza (only one left), the Colossus of Rhodes, Hanging Gardens of Babylon, and Statue of Zeus at Olympia.
They were chosen by Greek writer Antipater of Sidon. He compiled seven most impressive architecture at that time and is often thought as the most visited by sightseers. The number 7 was considered lucky by the Greeks.
Nowadays, only the Great Pyramids of Giza is left. People choose the new seven wonders of the world based on more than 100 million votes. It will be a great achievement to visit those new wonders in person and appreciate the magnificent constructions by our ancestors.
